Friday afternoon everyone came together at the beach for some water bathing, sun soaking, castle building and gab fests. Penticton is quite the beach resort with several beautiful large lakes. Some waste no time in getting water soaked while others love that warm sun seeping into their deprived bodies.
Of course, now and then there will be one who forgets that water and wallets do not mix well, that is if you don't want them to be ruined. Unfortunately, Bill soon found this out. As he pulled open his wallet and carefully removed each item, us girls began holding them up for the air to dry them. Soon all was well and a sigh of relief was heard. Thankfully nothing was ruined by the water. Boy does that water look refreshing right about now!
Building castles in the sand is always loads of fun for adults as well as the kids. This became quite the thing with Thomas in the midst of it. Sometimes you just have to get your hands a little dirty in order to join in the fun. It was fun to watch them in their indeavor as we lay soaking up the sun while sipping on a cold drink.
Aha! Success! What a proud sand castle builder he was! Proof is in the smile.
Suzie and Brian arrived a little later to join all of us. A little break from getting ready for their wedding to take place the next evening at 5:00pm. Ed looks to be catching up on reading. Of course, he may just be pretending to be reading, when in all reality, he might just be snoozing. Fess up Ed. Which was it?
Dad and Patty had quite a long discussion going on between them, as well as Chuck and Jim. It is so good to get together and talk again after the long spells between seeing each other.I really enjoyed our beach time. It is one of my favorite summer things to do. As we gathered togeather to leave, Jim and Patty announced that dinner would be up at the campground later. As the story unfolds.......................

That was a good time to relax. We had several more such precious times to do that and catch up on friendships. A little taste of Heaven.
