ThankYou Dad
Friday morning early Dad left to take Marilyn to the bus station. She was going to be with her brother and other family members for a large family time. When Dad got back to the house we all piled in his truck for a trip up into the Saphire Mountains
before we were to leave the next day for our plane trip back to Michigan. Our enjoyment in the mountains was awsome.Colleen and I began having lots of fun finding ways to take pictures with my camera as we traveled along. I have quite a few pictures that turned out good but will spare everyone a couple of more posts of them. These pictures were just a few of many.We all had a wonderful time as we trailed along the mountain side viewing out over the expanse of mountain life.Thankyou Dad and Marilyn for our time there at both of your homes and the wonderful times we all had togeather.Marilyn, you are a beautiful, loving person whom I would be proud to call Mom.Through this time and the time you and dad spent here in Michigan,I have gotten to love you very much.Thankyou again. The next post will show a few pictures of you and Dad being here in Michigan and the wonderful time we had here.

Horses Yehhhhhhhhhhhhh
After alittle bit Colleen and I grabbed up our worms from Dad's refrigerator to go over to Marilyn's with everyone for the day again.Yep you guessed it.Fishing here we come.We loaded up our worms, fishing pole and cans of pop in the middle of the paddle boat and started our feet paddling once more across the waters surface. As we were heading over, the ducks were watching us along with the canadian geese in the sky.I tried to snap a picture of Mailyn's young eagle friend but unless you can single it out ,I don't believe I caught it on film. The turtle wasn't on his half submerged log but the fish were definately awaiting our paddle boat.As we sat there, the worm containers were opened to reveal some mighty fat, juicy long worms.Colleen and I looked at each other and and with dread in her eyes watched as I began to use my finger nail to slice them in threes.Of coarse who would have thought to take a knife or scissors out with us.Your worms last three times longer I learned as Dad helped me a couple of years ago.Colleen watched as I would drop a whole one or part of one down in front of us and watched as it's body with squirm around. As she would take some and drop them over the side to get the fish jumping,I would take a partial worm and place it on the quite pointy ,sharp end of the hook. Our only problem I told her was, once we caught a fish, who would take it off the hook? Our mouths would bend downward in horror at the thought that Dad was nowhere around us.I told her we had two options. As we caught one we could dangle it in on the end of the hook as we quickly paddled back in to ask Dad to take it off and then paddle back out or I would have to get my hand around that slimmy wet squiggly fish, put my fingers in its mouth and say Cough It Up Mr.Fish!!!! You got it,I realized it was up to me to be brave and strong.......yep I was.The first fish we caught was a sunfish. As it dangled and thrashed around on the hook for us to watch,it suddenly broke loose and fell back into the water.Well that went well we thought. The next one was small enough the hook seemed to loosen up just fine. Then came the third one.Oops this one didn't want to cooporate.Colleen and I looked at each other with smiles and laughter erupting because we realized it was time to begin paddling back in for Dad's help.Would Dad help us or would he stand on the dock with that smile on his face and insist we had to take it off the hook? As we neared the dock we yelled for Chuck to run and get Dad,showing we had a fish on the line. Dad came walking down with that smile and slow gait saying what, you can't get it off? Off it came for Dad with no problem,RuthAnn touched it and back in the water it went.Colleen and I paddled back out to our fishing hole and sure enough there were still fish waiting for us.They knew were the food was.We caught several fish which I was able to get off the hook but when we realized it was beginning to get late we knew it was coming to an end. What fun we had.Suddenly my pole bent downward showing another fish on it and after trying to get it off,I realized it looked like he had swallowed the hook.We looked at each other, smiled and decided this one would also need to follow us in to Dad.As Colleen paddled,I watched that the fish stayed damp to survive the trip in.As we got close in once more,we yelled to Chuck again for Dad. He came down to be a loving father and help us out on more time.I told him I thought the hook was down in far enough that I didn't want to hurt the fish.He took the pole with the fish on it and like a pro manuvered the hook up and out throwing the fish out into the water with that smile on his face once more.Oh what a loving father we all have.Thankyou Dad you were a life savor. We went in and we watched a movie called Though None Go With Me. If you haven't watched it please rent it and watch it.It is a wonderful movie. We left the worms in Marilyn's refrigerator and traveled home after the movie ended. What a fun day once more. Will there be another fishing day for us?

Another Beautiful Full Day
As always, mom and dad's home held such a beautiful, relaxing view of the Bitterroot river and mountain range. To stand drinking in all their beauty,a calmness settles into your whole being. As Andy went out to begin grilling,I took a stroll down the road and over to the next door neighbors house to make friends with the horses. These horses were alot more accessable when they had been in the fenced in area along the dirt road traveling in front of the homestead. As I stood there one of the horses decided to give me a show for my camera. What fun watching as the horse rolled over and over with a smile on her face.RuthAnn's favorite is always the jet black one.She calls them Flicka.According to RuthAnn there are alot of Flickas out there.Upon arriving back to the homestead,I took a few more before offering to get my hands into the helping mode.Dinner was delicious and firepit began soon afterward.Marshmellows are always welcome around a firepit,I must say. After alittle while,Dad and Marilyn decided to make it a nite and off they went leaving us with one of the two vehicles that had traveled over.As the night grew darker we positioned our chair to gaze up into the heavens to begin watching for a meteor show.As we sat there,we would suddenly hear Sherry say,There's One.............Did Colleen and I see it? Not.She made the statements several times more leaving us feeling rather frustrated not being able to catch seeing one. After giving it alittle longer,Colleen and I moved over the swing where we had a much wider, clearer view of the sky.Only one time did I see one and as soon as I said it , it disappeared leaving Colleen without seeing it.We finally decided it had gotten late enough,so we gathered ourselves ,RuthAnn,and the men up and said our goodbyes.Home we went feeling like we had really enjoyed a very nice evening.Thank-you Sherry and Andy.

Day With Family
Of course there is always a lawn that requires some manicure just before family comes over.Dad was very good at driving around this tractor.
Did I also say that RuthAnn was found alot out in the paddle boat. With all of us there was always someone she could ask to take her out again.Colleen and I found our selves out working the paddle boat discovering all of the wild life.Lots of Canadian geese,a very young family of geeslings, one large inquisitive turtle sunning himself on a large, partially submerged log lots of ducks and yehhhhhhhhhh some mighty hungry fish.We soon discovered the fish hole where they were gathered just waiting for a worm handout. We went back in deciding to stop at the store for some earth worms on the way home to Dad's that night.Oh and of course we asked Dad if we could take out a fishing pole with us the next day.Marilyn's family came over for dinner and visiting for awhile later on.We all enjoyed the visit and getting to know them. After they left we enjoyed some more out door fun before going in to put Fox News on.As the ducks began gathering on the deck for the night we traveled in with RuthAnn stretching out on the couch for her down time once more.More pictures to follow.Did I say I have lots and lots of pictures?
