Downtime with God

It has been almost two weeks since we have been back from Montana.I have pictures I will be blogging on here that show what a wonderful time we had but that will need to have just alittle more down time for now.
Our church has now gone through its second split since having our pastor of three years. There is a terrible heavieness in my heart that will not give up.Sunday morning,to Chuck and Dan's not wanting, our pastor gave his resignation to our people and walked out to give his final farewells to the congregation. Our home was devided in what was felt needed to happen.I had such mixed emotions on how I felt that every sunday I began dreading going to church that morning. My heart finally trully felt that our church could never have moved forward going in the direction it was going. The pastor needed to be gone or we would have become a dead church. There were several issues that were involved which I will not mention. After the first split where many of our long time members left ,the money coming in began our financial demise. As we went into our second split our church was financially broke just hanging on by paying interest only monthly payments. Now more people have left leaving us in straights. My heart cry to God is,if I were to get a million dollars I would pay off the church morgage so that we could begin springing back.We have a fairly large group of good people but with the way the economy is and people themselves in financil straights themselves it will take a mighty miracle from God to help us.Our God is a good God and one who can make mountains move.My heart is not heavy because of our pastor that left but it is heavy for the sake of our church people. We are closing in on 80 years of ministry.Chuck and I have been with the church since Annette was five months old.We are one of the members that go back thirty five years. We visited the church when Jeannie and Larry were part of the siterra twins group going around giving their testimonies to different churches.Afterwards we were visited by a couple of young guys that were out church calling. Our people fully believe we can have Victory through Jesus and spring back mightly from this. Please,Please,Please pray for our church which I will leave unnamed in this post. Those of us who remain know we have a mighty God who can help us triumph through this awful time and come out stronger for it.
Give me alittle time to get back on here to put pictures on.Thankyou. Our time in Montana gave us a wonderful break from what was coming to a head in our Church.Thankyou Dad and Marilyn for such a wonderful time away we needed it.I myself decided not to talk about what was happening back home so to give my heart alittle rest from the awful unrest.
