Birthday Girl

July 21,1974 11:00pm found us dropping little Danny off to my friend's home to travel to the hospital for delivering baby number 2. Our Heavenly Father had already given us a precious son on December 24,1971 now our prayer was that we receive another precious baby, maybe a precious little girl? As we were told we now had a new baby girl,I turned to Chuck with tears in my eyes and repeatedlysaid,Honey we have our little girl, Thankyou Lord,Thankyou Lord,Thankyou Lord.Even though I was worn out from the labor of giving birth my heart warmed and relaxed my whole body as I lay there with tears of joy.My precious baby girl had been given to us in Love. Now 35 years later to the day she has a beautiful family of three girls,Hannah Marie 13,Sarah Anne almost 11, Emma Rose 5 and a very special loving husband,Earl to complete her. Annette Marie Hudson, we love you dearly and say a hearty Happy Birthday to you. We love you. OOps I forgot to include Prince Missy their lovely little furball.

Destination Beach

Our July 4th was a beautiful, somewhat chilly, family togeather time out to Grand Haven. The day began with some lunch at McDonnalds in Spring Lake.As we traveled out to our spot on the lake shore to park we realized it might be alittle wait to snuggle into two different parking spots.Annette and Earl received their spot first. As they pulled in and jumped out,Chuck got out of our car and walked onto the beach with them as Bryan and I waited for another spot to empty. As Bryan and I began to get alittle impatient we decided to backtrack into the State Park to pay for a day's pass.Unfortunately I did an illegal move and without realizing it pulled into the park with a full line of cars over alitlle ways to my right with a parking guy holding them back until a spot became empty. It was too late to turn around as Bryan and I saw the parking attendent get on his walkie talkie we immediately knew what was happening. We both looked at each other with dread in our eyes .As the booth attendant started to let us know we had made an illegal move and possibly start to give us a ticket,we both in unison said we were sorry and let her know we realized too late to turn around. She said that was ok but we still had to turn around and get into the back of the line out on the street. With Bryan and I allowing ourselves to breath relief we traveled back down to where Annette and Earl were parked to patiently wait for a spot.It wasn't too much longer when a car pulled out allowing us to pull in.The only thing Chuck forgot to do was take all the beach stuff with him.So up went the trunk and all the needed items were juggled into our arms for the trip through the sand. As the girls enjoyed the sand and water us adults enjoyed watching them, sipping our cold drinks.Actually coffee would have probably suited me alittle more with the chilly weather. After a few hours we gathered all our belonging up to take our cars down to the wharf area to find parking spots one more time and a place on the ground to await the musical fountain and fireworks.Since we had two cars,we naturally split up and thank goodness for cell phones found each other for a place to perch.Of course what is more natural then to saunter over to the icecream shop to satisfy the icecream cravings.Annette and Earl settled on pretzels. As we snuggled into our spots on the blanket and beach chairs we enjoyed people watching.Less grass became visible as people began filling every nook and cranny. The sky began looking very pretty as it got closer and closer to the entertainment time, and the air became chillier. Our Michigan summer is turning out to be a cooler one.I am very thankful our central air conditioning is having alittle more break from constantly running.Around three or four oclock in the afternoon it goes on and then about seven in the morning it goes off when I open everything up to let in the cold outdoor air in for as long as possible. I do have some warmer beach family pictures to get on here at alittle different time.I have fallen behind since my break from the computer for quite awhile.I will try to catch up.Once again Happy Fourth.
