Mr.Brauma Bull is always watching The Back Forty come alive with activity
This morning we walked over to their dog yard where they keep their Siberian and Alaskan Huskies. They have enough dogs to pull two sled teams during the winter time.During the summer their dogs are enjoying a leisurely time off while being pampered and cared for. They keep them well fed, manicured with showers and well shaded when the sun is beating down on them.During the afternoon they put up umbrellas for each of them to get shaded by along with the help of the trees. From 9:00 to 11:00 am in the morning you can go over and take a dog of your choice out for a walk for alittle while. They put two leases on them for each of you to hold onto because of their mighty strength in pulling you for your walk.I wonder who it is getting the walk, the dog or the human.I noticed that a few of them will have a colored bandana around their neck and inquired about them. While you stay there, you can actually pay to have one of the dogs to be your own special dog. Some people actually bring small bags of dog bisquits for them as treats for their walks.Chuck and I enjoyed taking one out for a short walk over into the campground before our trailride this morning.
Chuck very proudly holds the reins of Darla and Blaze.
When going out from The Ranch Barn this is the spot in the trail that the two different rides split away from each other. The trot and canter go this direction while the walkers keep going straight. Here is the split up is beginning to happen.
One of my two favorite wranglers,Lloyd from Chicago. He went with our walk.
