The Day Before We Left

Breakfast at the lodge. Each morning I am sure there were eyes half open but mouths ready to open up for filling the empty stomachs.Down at the B and B we had worked out having something to eat before our journey would take us up the mountain to the cabins and tent campsites.
One last beach day brought refreshment to those few who decided to enjoy the cool water on their bodies.
God gave us one last georgeous sunset as we climbed our mountain for the last evening in Penticton.

One last sunset pic with Colleen and Jeannie in the foreground.

One last bonfire before we were to leave in the morning for our separate destinations home. The guitar was brought out from the van for both Jim and Colleen to each take separate turns strumming while we sang different songs.A closeness that couldn't be beat. One last family togeatherness which doesn't come along too often. It was very hard for the night to end.The clock ticked later and later and noone was eager to get up and announce it time to break up for the night. As we finally got the courage to stand up and say our goodbyes there were hugs and kisses abound.Jeannie,Colleen and I gathered with arms around each other, tears in our eyes, saying our final goodbyes.I began saying Oh Man.............Oh Man........... something RuthAnn was well known to say.The moment had come.Did we want to walk to our cars? No,a big fat No!Final goodbyes to Suzzie,Brian and their two kids, hugs and kisses. The key turned in the car ignition and down the mountain we drove, away from the family we had enjoyed having fun with one more time.Thank-you Suzzie and Brian for a special family time with you for a few days.Love one and all.

Very nice Dianne. Thank you so much for all the time you have put into the posts. Very nice pictures, that will hold lots of good memories for a long time to come. I love you, and Jeannie. It was definately hard to say goodbye that night. No one wanted to make the move to do it. But I remember a couple of extreemly tired little ones. And you guys had a good little drive back to the B and B yet.

Love you!!
