Restoration Or Dismissal

It seems that Satan wants our church to fall by the wayside in defeat.Within the last two years our church has seen some very trying times. The attack just doesn't want to let up to allow our church to really grow and prosper as it should.Beginning with the immoral behaviour of the young people's leader and his dismissal. He was to have a child with his wife soon and at the same time weeks later become the father to a child from one of the girls in his Youth Group. This young people's leader's father was assistant pastor of our church at the time and him and his wife have since left our ministry because of the situation. We lost a family our church family had grown to love and care about that had come to us not long after our Ex pastor came to us.After that we had two good family's in our church family that had teens in the young people's group that ended up with babies being born out of wedlock. The one family is no longer with us because of feeling like they had become outcasts and the other is now in separation mode with each other. In the meantime our Pastor Delaney just up and gave his resignation as a total surprise and was gone within a few months. In the meantime we staginated for awhile with men in the church trying to fill in the roles that we're needed to keep our church functioning and staying togeather through the tuff stretch of not having a Pastor to Shepard us.After a stretch of losing several church familys we began having a few come and candidate for us.As a result our current pastor came to our fold with his family of wife and four kids. Not long after they discovered his wife was pregnant with their fifth child. We now have problems that have seeped in once more.About a month ago in the evening service we had a fill in message from a good man in our church because our Pastor had walked and took his family home after problems in a deacon's meeting. At that point we were unsure if he would be leaving us.After everyone thought everything was corrected we have found more issues surface. This morning there was a page in the bulletin letting us know that tuesday evening would be a meeting for members only.Questions and Answers to a few happenings of recent and talk of possible dismissal of our Pastor.Next sunday is already put down for voting on whether or not to dismiss our Pastor of only nine months. Please pray for our Church family during this heart wrenching time that could cause a split in our church.Chuck went to Church this evening, after staying home this morning because he was sick,to try to find out what was happening. His comment when he got home was,it doesn't look good.It seems Satan wants our church family to become so discouraged that it could cause the doors to close. Please pray big time for us at this time.

We will pray. You have the right focus in seeing it as Satan's attack. People need to remember that instead of fighting with each other.

Wow Dianne! I'm certainly in agreement with everyone else, on Satan's attack, and the prayer that will be needed for everyone in your church group.

Satan works so well in his attacks of church ministry, and those involved in the ministry, as well as family's who come and need to be ministered to.

it sounds like a pretty heavy situation. We will most definately keep everyone in our prayers.
