The Death Of A Car

A little over two weeks ago Bryan and I sat here at the computer one more time working on insurance for his baby.It had been all winter long parked in front of our house without insurance coverage. With the amount of snow we kept having,I would go out and uncover the car from the weight of our snow, run it for alittle while to rejuvenate the motor and warm it up and pull it into our garage until Chuck came home from work. Then it would sit back in front of our house for a couple of more days.Bryan was extactic the day his taxes came through and immediately had us sit togeather at the computer to once more put the needed insurance on his baby.Freedom,Freedom,Freedom was what he was feeling. He now had a way to get around once more. The big mistake was letting his friend take it around the corner from where they were for something that was needed. We had a snowstorm during the night again and the roads were snow covered and dangerous. There were 15 different accidents that morning and this was no exception. Up ahead of her on the expressway was a three car pileup which she attempted to avoid. In avoiding it she lost control and the picture tells all.We were called by the police as we began our journey up to Howard City to visit Chuck's mom and immediately turned around to go locate the car where it had been towed. As we emptied the car of belongings and headed back home to await Bryan's call,he called having no idea what had happened.Needless to say he ended up falling apart and needed to get word on where his friend had been taken and how she was.Since he was not family,he went to work and Chuck and I went up to the hospital to see what we could find out.We stayed at the hospital until 9:00pm and went home with no information. Her mom had been there and gone before we got there and the father was in route in the bad snow storm weather. We requested that they let him know we were in the waiting room and would like him to come in to see us but it never happened. We had gone down to the cafeteria for a bite to eat and they thought we had left for the night. The next day Bryan and the two of us went up to see her.Her mom was in the room and she was very awake sitting in bed with a broken right arm.It was a very good visit and we were able to get to visit with her mom for alittle while. They had told them I was very upset the night before and they had decided we wanted to do some yelling at all of them.We assured them that wasn't the case at all,we needed information on how she was for Bryan and our sake.We told them we were very thankful she was alright except for her arm. We told them after seeing the car,we were very thankful she had not been killed. The other night Bryan had a total melt down and ended up very broken down at the loss of his new found freedom he only briefly had. Did I say earlier,my name was also on the title and was to be taken off in just one or two days?I had put my name on the title along with Bryan's until he paid it off. No,he never paid it off but I felt my name should be taken off because of him letting other friends use it.We are still waiting the final say from the insurance company. We have not heard from the other party who didn't get hurt.Pray that this all ends without going financially broke. He is now browsing the paper to find another car like the only that has just died.It was his baby and was very special to him.Its amazing what inatomate objects become our babies.

It looks like I have been so caught up in my own world, that I failed to get into blog city and see what was going on in my sister's world.

Wow!! I am very thankful no one was hurt worse in that car accident. It makes the dent in our little car look very small. It will definately be in our prayers, regarding that insurance.

Love you Dianne
